Providence visits Pittsburgh tonight (9 p.m. ESPN2) as 11-point underdogs. Pittsburgh, No. 17 in the country, is a dominant home team (15-1 this season) that will be looking to improve its NCAA Tournament seed as the season winds down. The Friars are a beaten down bunch, losers of eight straight. What Providence can do well is score.

California hosts Washington tonight in a Pac-10 "clash" that could go a long way in determining who from this conference will make the NCAA tournament. The fact is, the conference stinks this year, with no teams ranked in the Top 25, and it's possible that only one team will make the tournament. I can't see more than two teams getting into the Dance, which is remarkable for a major conference.

The Miami Hurricanes, who are 10-1 at home this season, are 1-point favorites tonight as they play host to the 20th-ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The teams have similar records -- Tech enters at 17-6, while Miami is 16-7 -- but Miami has struggle mightily as of late, losing 6 of 7.

No. 5 Michigan State, which has won 10 in a row, visits No. 16 Wisconsin tonight (Feb. 2, 9 p.m., ESPN) as 2-point underdogs. The home teams is 9-2 in the last 11 in this series, and that trend will hold true tonight, as the Badgers are the pick here.

Is it possible to be 19-0, ranked No. 1, and be overrated? That's how I feel about Kentucky. I'll put that feeling to the test tonight (Jan. 26, 9 p.m. ET, ESPN) when I take South Carolina, losers of three straight, getting just seven points in Columbia.

Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre is one game away from a return to the Super Bowl at age 40. It would make for a great story, but it's one that will have to be written in a different year, as the New Orleans Saints are going to advance to the franchise's first Super Bowl by beating -- and covering the spread against -- the Vikings on Sunday (Jan. 24, 6:40 p.m., FOX).

The Cowboys visit the Vikings today (Jan. 17, 1 p.m., FOX) in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. Minnesota opened as 3-point favorites, but bettors seem to be favoring the red-hot Cowboys, as the line has dipped to 2.5. For my money though, Minnesota, who is perfect (8-0) at home this season, is the pick here.
