The Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 is scheduled for Sunday August 2nd, 2009, in Long Pond, Pennsylvania at Pocono Raceway. For those able to attend live, the race will start at 2:00 p.m. ET. For those watching on TV, race coverage will begin at 1:00 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Sprint Cup's 21st race of the season promises to be exciting, as top drivers look to secure a spot in The Chase. Last weeks Brickyard 400 winner Jimmie Johnson will arrive at Pocono as the odds on favorite to win at 5-1.  He will be pitted against a field of NASCAR's top professionals including Tony Stewart 6-1, Mark Martin 6-1, and last years winner Carl Edwards at 10-1.  For a full list of odds to win, please read below.

In July 1994, I had just finished high school and was spending most of my summer "chasing the muff around."  Tiger Woods had just won his first U.S. Amateur Championship at Sawgrass and was on his way to Stanford University.  And Nick Price was busy shooting a 268 at Turnberry Scotland to win the 123rd British Open.

The 2009 PGA Championship is scheduled for August 13-16, 2009, at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. Spike TV debuted the reality series "4th and Long" on May 18, featuring 12 football players competing for a chance to go to the Dallas Cowboys’ training camp. "Dancing With the Stars" it ain't. The show will have great appeal to Spike's large male audience, thanks to Irvin’s tough approach and harsh tone.
