Memphis visits UAB tonight (9 p.m. ET) in a pivotal game for both teams' NCAA tournament hopes. It's unlikely that Conference USA will field more than two teams in the Big Dance, and UTEP will be one of them. That means that only one other spot is open, and these are the two candidates. UAB has a slight advantage right now and can put a strong grip on its spot with a win tonight; a loss likely vaults Memphis at least even with the Blazers and puts UAB on thin ice heading into UTEP on Saturday. Translation: UAB absolutely must win on its home floor tonight if it wants to assure it will go dancing. The Blazers are great at home (13-2) and decent against the spread this year, while Memphis has been awful against the spread and particularly bad in its last 10 road games (3-7 ATS). My experience with UAB is that when the Blazers have a big game at home, their crowd plays a huge role and lifts them to a great performance. I don't see any way they lose this game tonight and three points doesn't seem like enough for Memphis.

UAB 72, Memphis 64
